If you think Baby Love sounds like a Madonna song you won’t be surprised to learn it was written for her. Lady M passed and co-writer Regina (Richards) was convinced to record it herself. Although this was Regina’s only pop hit she did land three subsequent songs on the dance charts.
Fun fact: The other Baby Love co-writer was frequent Madonna collaborator, and onetime Breakfast Club member, Stephen Bray.
