Brand New Day (Sting)
1999
This was the first single from Sting’s Brand New Day album. It charted moderately well but it was eclipsed by the second single, Desert Rose, which took Sting back into the US Hot 100 for the first time in six years. The lyrics here contain two dozen variations of “I’m the X to your Y” where Sting tells his lover how complementary they are.

I’m the plough and you’re the land
You’re the glove and I’m the hand
I’m the train and you’re the station
I’m the flagpole to your nation

Fun fact: This song won Sting the 2000 Grammy for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance.
