It’s easy for hit songs by “one album wonders” to fall out of fashion. Such acts don’t tend to produce greatest hits collections and so when their only album falls out of distribution, as regularly happens, they take the hit’s sole showcase with them. All this helps to explain why I Remember Holding You is both hard to find and also woefully overlooked. If you watch the video it will come as no surprise to learn the duo was known as “Minnesota’s version of WHAM!”. Lead singer Joe Pasquale is channelling George Michael something fierce.
Fun fact: Other member Gene Hunt, whose real name is Eugene Wolfgramm, was a founding member of family group and other 1980s stars The Jets.
