Nite and Day (Al B. Sure!)
#7 on the US Hot 100
Albert Joseph Brown III rejected a college football scholarship to chase a music career and immediately hit it big with this, his first release. Unfortunately it would be his only solo top 40 hit. He had far more success on the R&B charts, four solo number #1s, including this song, and one as part of the Quincy Jones single The Secret Garden.
Fun fact: Remember Omarosa from Donald Trump’s TV show The Apprentice? Al B. Sure dated her.

The theme for Bestest Song Club November 2015 is: US Top 10 Hits That You Probably Haven’t Heard In Years.
Criteria – Songs reached at least #10 on the US Hot 100 between 1 January 1980 and 31 December 1989 but have since largely been unheard.
